Job description
AC Immune is seeking a highly qualified Senior Scientist/Project Leader to support the discovery and clinical development of small molecular weight compounds as brain PET imaging ligands for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. The candidate must possess a background in neuroscience and good experience with preclinical and clinical PET imaging studies, including PET imaging data analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Establish strong project strategies, including project plans and budgets, to ensure fast track development of new brain PET imaging agents
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to support the conduct of nonclinical and clinical studies as well as manufacturing activities
- Provide scientific leadership in the area of brain PET imaging, including data analysis and quantification
- Create data packages enabling decisions to progress candidates according to development plans
- Support therapeutic programs with brainimaging translation strategies
- Present key findings to the scientific community as well as to internal stakeholders and partners
- Cultivate external relationships with KOL, academic and industrial partners
Qualifications & Skills
- PhD in neuroscience, medical imaging, or related discipline
- Industry experience is a plus
- Successful track record in all aspects of PET tracer development, from discovery to clinical studies
- Successful track record for regulatory submissions for PET tracers
(IND/CTA etc.)
- Experience working successfully in a matrix organization
- Outstanding scientific leadership, collaboration, and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence and professional competence to win respect and gain credibility at all levels within and outside the company
- Capable of representing the company externally in the scientific community and with potential partners
- High degree of energy, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering important new diagnostic agents to patients
- Passionate, data-driven, and biased for action
- Team player, with the ability to adapt priorities to meet company needs while maintaining effectiveness.
