For newly created Sourcing and Vendor Management Department within R&D-Clinical Operations based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a motivated and talented

 

Sourcing & Vendor Management Intern

Contract type : Internship                                                               Duration : 12 months

 

Our Sourcing & Vendor Management department is in charge of R&D vendor management by establishing robust sourcing processes, strategizing procurement practices, managing contracts, and enhancing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to guarantee unparalleled excellence from our clinical and pre-clinical partners.

 

In this light, we seek a dynamic intern ready to drive a variety of initiatives aimed at embedding both internal and external Change Management and Transformation, thereby achieving our ambitious goals for R&D sourcing. This position is ideal for a passionate and energetic young graduate, eager to significantly influence the evolution of our sourcing approach.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Play an integral role in shaping, implementing and executing the Action Plan for change management of our new Sourcing & Vendor Management strategy.
  • Assist in analyzing objectives of internal stakeholders and profiling of external stakeholders to design and implement effective strategies.
  • Assist and contribute to the analysis of R&D categories with diverse Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Support the creation and distribution of communication materials and the organization of events aimed at stakeholders.
  • Engage in internal communications initiatives, including training sessions, management meetings, and the establishment of events like "Sourcing Breakfast" to Clinical Operations and any other internal department at Debiopharm.
  • Support the development of new guidance materials, tools, and templates for Sourcing and Vendor Management.
  • Proactively support the implementation and execution of the Sourcing Strategy by:
    • Engaging in sourcing processes and activities such as identifying and selecting new external partners (RFx, evaluations, contract management) to improve efficiency and reduce costs,
    • Analyzing procurement costs and budgets,
    • Contributing to the creation of a Sourcing Database including key cost drivers for benchmarking and KPIs,
    • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to raise awareness of the new Sourcing Process,
    • Ensuring compliance with Debiopharm policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Your profile

  • MSc in Procurement, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
  • A strong interest in procurement and change management.
  • Natural ability to network and build relationships.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Proficient financial skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
