The Position

Roche is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scientist in pathology to join their clinical pathology laboratory based in Basel. This is a full time laboratory based position. It is initially a 3 year contract.

You will be a part of a collaborative and experienced team of scientists and have the opportunity to bring your clinical pathology expertise as well as learn new skills.

Job mission

The clinical pathology laboratory expert will provide excellent technical and scientific support in the design, execution and interpretation of fluid-based assays for preclinical safety

assessments. This expert works in an interdisciplinary and self-managed agile laboratory environment.

Your impact

  • You follow the state of the art and propose innovative approaches to solve questions related to haematology, fluid-based biomarkers, flow cytometry panels and western-blot analyses.

  • You interface with pathologists, immunologists, scientists and laboratory experts to develop and perform fluid-based immunoassays, haematological, flow cytometry and western-blot assays.

  • To a lesser extent, you will perform routine clinical pathology assays (e.g. coagulation, clinical chemistry)

  • Collaboration with internal and external partners

Your profile

  • You possess a university degree in the life sciences with significant hands-on laboratory experience

  • Experience with haematology and associated techniques, immunoassays, flow cytometry and western blot

  • Experience with additional clinical pathology techniques (e.g. biochemistry, coagulation), data management and molecular biology assays are of benefit

  • You are curious with an innovative growth mindset
