In order to complete our team, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) wishes to expand its team by recruting a :
TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR FOR AN ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES
Description
In your functions, you will have to :
Teaching (45%) Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year, at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Additionally supervision of Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.
Research (45%) The post-holder will pursue research in international relations, in the field of environmental policies. They will be expected to produce international-level academic research publications.
The post-holder will work in collaboration with the Centre of International History and Political Studies of Globalisation and the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment (FGSE).
They will also seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Administrative responsibilities (10%) In accordance with statutory requirements and in the name of collegiality, the post-holder will take on any administrative tasks that may be assigned to them by the Institute, Faculty, University or university decision-making bodies.
Requirements
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
PhD in political sciences or equivalent ;
Academic teaching experience in the field of international relations ;
Proven research record in the field of environmental policies ;
Excellent links with international research networks in the field ;
Ability to attract external research funding ;
Proficiency in French and English, orally and in writing ;
Ability to teach in French within two years.
