Who we are
Quibble is a new, tech-first digital book publishing house built for the next generation of writers, readers and artists. All content on Quibble must be human-created: Quibble is a strict AI-free zone, across books, art and every other content format that is coming to the platform next.
Our product architecture combines a streamlined manuscript submission system for author candidates, an internal editorial platform for reviewing, collaborating on and publishing accepted stories, an ever-evolving reading app and a revenue distribution mechanism that will pay authors based on the success of their stories on the app.
Our mission is to make reading and storytelling vibrant, interactive and human-first, in particular as the internet starts to fill up with cheap AI-generated content. People want content that is real, authentic and relatable. We’ve published over 20 authors, and have a growing online community across diverse social media platforms.
Our roadmap includes serial chapter releases that let accepted authors grow stories over time, tools to pair writing with art, chapter commenting and fan-art upload, an author workbench to write and connect with our editors inside Quibble, audio features, language translations, etc.
About the role
This is a high-autonomy role at a fast-moving startup. You’ll help turn Quibble from “something people stumble upon” into “something people talk about.” Quibble has near 3,000 members on Discord and 10 moderators. We have recently opened Reddit, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts.
Your main objective is growing the Quibble community across platforms. You’ll turn content ideas into scripts, reels, captions, community prompts, influencer collaborations and experiments. You’ll be expected to think end‑to‑end: audience, message, format, distribution, partnerships, feedback loops.
You'll collaborate with our graphic designers, editors and community managers who currently operate each space. You won't expected to post everywhere alone, we have dedicated account owners for that, but you'll help them execute and drive our combined social media calendar.
You’ll analyze what works, kill what doesn’t, and double down on signals that show virality potential. Paid campaigns will exist, but your core focus is organic, cultural, community‑driven growth.
This is a 60–100%, 3-6 month volunteer internship based in Zurich. You’ll be expected to come to the office minimum twice a week. In the event of a successful transition into a full-time role, overall compensation will include a combination of fixed salary, bonus and equity participation. Your KPIs will be related to growth.
What we’re looking for
- A true social native. TikTok is your home base, but you can also navigate at least two others - Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Discord. You know the authors, the micro-trends, the drama, the niche corners, the “why is this book suddenly everywhere?” moments.
- Business growth mindset. You want business to grow. You will respond to every single comment and evangelize Quibble across other accounts by interacting with their posts. You'll do anything it takes to grow.
- Aesthetics matter to you. You’ve posted content before and you get how to make things look good without over-polishing them to death.
- Multi-tools. Canva, Figma, Premiere, CapCut, Illustrator. You'll need at least some of them to get ahead and be highly productive.
- Fast, scrappy creative energy. You can generate ideas, script them, shoot them, post them, and adjust on the fly. No waiting for perfect conditions or a committee.
- Someone who genuinely loves digital storytelling. Books, creativity, online culture, and the idea of building something from zero? That fires you up.
Your responsibilities & goals
- Support the full organic content cycle across all our social channels but Discord (IG, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube): ideas → scripts → production → posting → engagement → analysis → repeat. Our graphic designer owns the production.
- Create engagement-first campaigns/events: challenges, contests, collaborative threads with authors (this means content that is co-created or co-hosted with authors themselves).
- Explore and build collaborations with influencers and other relevant cultural voices. This includes outreach, co‑created content, experiments, relationship building.
- Define growth KPIs for every channel, track and analyze key metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable reports that guide content strategy.
- Feed insights to product team for features that drive growth (e.g., referral mechanics, badges, visibility tools, etc.).
How to Apply
If Quibble lights a fire in you, apply with a CV and a note explaining why you want to work at Quibble. If you have examples of social media content and community engagement please include them as well - whatever strengthens your application and helps you stand out from the crowd.
