Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Associate, Merchandising Operations on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.
Let’s Talk about the Role
As Associate, Merchandising Operations, you will support and partially own key operational activities across Global Merchandising, Global Product, Regional Merchandising, Planning, Pricing and Commercial teams.
You will contribute to ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery of Global Merchandising deliverables, while helping streamline templates, calendars, systems and processes to improve efficiency across the merchandising organization.
You will contribute by:
• Enovia/PLM System Coordination
- Maintain and monitor data accuracy within Enovia/PLM across categories.
- Act as a point of contact for basic-to-intermediate PLM issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution with the Merch Ops Manager and system teams.
- Support system enhancements and new tool/process adoption (UAT testing, documentation, data updates).
- Identify recurring issues or gaps and propose improvements to data flows or operational routines.
• Line Plan Communication and Management
- Coordinate pre‑season and in‑season distribution of line lists, ensuring updates reach all cross‑functional partners according to calendar.
- Collaborate with Global Merchandising, Regional Merchandising, Planning, Pricing, Master Data and Commercial teams to ensure product information accuracy and timely system flow into SAP.
- Support troubleshooting for SKU‑level issues and syndication delays, driving first-level analysis before escalation.
• Merchandising Operations & Process Support
- Maintain and update global merchandising calendars, templates and timelines.
- Help ensure process adherence across merchant teams by monitoring deadlines and tracking key milestones.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, input materials, dashboards and reports used by the Merch Ops function.
- Contribute to identifying areas for process improvement and support implementation of new ways of working.
- Represent Merch Ops in selected cross-functional meetings when required, ensuring clear communication of deliverables and follow-ups.
• Merch Analytics & Reporting
- Support category and merchandising teams with ad‑hoc reports, structured data pulls and preliminary insights.
- Coordinate catalogue development tasks, ensuring timely collection and validation of product information.
- Maintain updated merchandising databases and ensure accessibility of information for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills for Success
The ideal Associate, Merch Ops has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, with growing autonomy and confidence in managing operational workflows.
- A few years of experience in Merch Ops, Merchandising, Planning, Business Operations or similar roles
- Strong Excel skills and good understanding of PLM systems
- Solid understanding of GTM process and basic retail/wholesale mechanics
- Familiarity with merchandising planning concepts and product creation is a strong plus
- Ability to organize information, manage multiple deadlines and support decision‑making
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Apparel or related fields
