We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager - Functional Consultant on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading global pharmaceutical company in Basel. Our client is at the forefront of healthcare innovation, developing breakthrough treatments that improve and extend people's lives worldwide.
Responsibilities
As an IT Project Manager - Functional Consultant, you will play a critical role in managing complex business transformation initiatives within our client's technology landscape.
- End-to-End SAP Cutover Management: Provide comprehensive business cutover management for the RLT workstream within the LDC program
- Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain integrated cutover strategies, detailed plans, milestones, and readiness criteria
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Align closely with RLT cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated readiness across all impacted business functions
- Implementation Support: Support RLT across related implementation topics to enable successful delivery of LDC solutions
- Program Management: Manage ramp-up and ramp-down activities aligned with program phases and cutover milestones
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate business and technology stakeholders to effectively manage cutover risks, issues, and dependencies
- Execution Leadership: Lead cutover execution activities including mock cutovers, go-live coordination, and seamless transition to business-as-usual operations
- Project Coordination: Support release manager for comprehensive project planning, tracking, reporting, and alignment activities
- Governance Support: Facilitate status meetings, steering committees, and country alignments while representing release stream leadership as required
- Project period: 2026-03-01 to 2026-12-31
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of system implementations, cutover management, and business process transformation
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage diverse, cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and ability to manage complex dependencies
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages (German, French) considered an asset
- Experience working in international, multicultural environments with matrix organizational structures
