As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term goals and work toward a forward-thinking vision for our employees, our customers, and the world at large.
We are looking for a Head of Equipment Engineering to join our Group and lead a central engineering function that shapes how production equipment is designed, implemented, and scaled across our global operations. In this role, you will play a key part in building a future-ready engineering organization that enables innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. You will collaborate across multiple divisions and functions, contributing to a strong and connected industrial ecosystem.
What is the role about?
Do you enjoy building and developing engineering organizations that deliver real impact?
Are you passionate about turning challenging requirements into scalable and standardized solutions?
Do you thrive in environments where collaboration across functions and cultures is key to success?
If so, this role offers you the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function at the heart of our industrial engineering. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and act as a trusted partner on a global scale.
Your responsibilities
You will:
- lead and scale the Equipment Engineering organization as a central multidisciplinary engineering and implementation unit, with full ownership of people, budget, and resources.
- act as a strategic engineering partner for manufacturing equipment, covering mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and automation.
- establish and strengthen core capabilities in modularization, standardization, and platform design for manufacturing equipment to reduce complexity and enable scalability.
- drive successful project execution across the full project lifecycle, from requirements engineering through implementation to commissioning and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
- ensure and govern compliance with machinery regulations (CE), relevant standards as well as safety, security and quality requirements.
- drive collaboration with international external engineering partners, including technical evaluation and performance oversight, to ensure flexibility and scalability of engineering.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering); additional education in systems engineering, manufacturing technologies, or management is a plus
- bring a strong background in equipment engineering and complexity management, with a focus on standardization and modularization, complemented by several years of experience in industrialization or manufacturing technology.
- have extensive experience across the full project lifecycle - from requirements engineering and implementation to commissioning and factory acceptance testing (FAT) - combined with a solid understanding of industrial standards, compliance requirements, and quality expectations.
- have a proven track record in managing budgets, resources, and external partners, and bring a strong understanding of total cost and lifecycle perspectives.
- bring extensive leadership experience, developing people and organizations and successfully align diverse stakeholders and confidently lead transformations. You combine strong execution capabilities with analytical thinking and a passion for innovation in industrial engineering.
- are fluent in German and English and communicate confidently across international stakeholders.
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family-owned, highly committed company with a sustainable vision
- We promote lifelong learning with versatile training, internal knowledge sharing, and e-learning opportunities
- We support work-life balance with flexible working models and modern working environments
- We offer state-of-the-art facilities and technology to help you succeed in your role
- We provide attractive benefits, including pension schemes and health initiatives to support your well-being
- We foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and long-term development
