Project Administrator
At the Quantum Device Lab at ETH Zurich and the ETH Zurich – PSI Quantum Computing Hub, we develop large-scale quantum computers and foster collaboration between academic and industrial partners in the emerging ecosystem of quantum technologies.
Job description
We are seeking a Project Administrator to support the coordination of a major third-party-funded research project, funded by a U.S. agency and coordinated by our group, as well as other ongoing research projects within the team. The role also includes general administrative responsibilities.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, your primary responsibilities will include supporting the project manager in overseeing project finances, monitoring expenditures, and preparing financial reports. You will act as a liaison between our group, various units within ETH Zurich, external partners, and funding agencies. In addition, you will organize meetings and workshops, coordinate logistics, and contribute to broader administrative tasks an various projects within the group.
This is a temporary position, initially limited to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The position is offered at 40% to 80%, depending on your interests and educational background.
Profile
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree (from a university or university of applied sciences), or a commercial or administrative qualification
Demonstrated interest and proven competence in financial topics, such as budgeting, cost tracking, or financial reporting
Practical experience in project administration, ideally in an academic or research context
A structured and precise working style, combined with strong organizational and communication skills
Enjoyment in organizing events (e.g., meetings, workshops) and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Excellent command of English and good German skills, both written and spoken
