Environmental & Sustainability Project Support 50 % (m/f/d)

An international and well-established company in the FMCG sector, headquartered in the canton of Lucerne, is currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Environmental & Sustainability Support Specialist (50%). This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives in environmental management and sustainability. Expertise in ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 is essential.

The role is available immediately for a duration of three to four months, with the potential for extension based on performance and mutual interest.

Description

In this challenging and diverse role, the selected candidate will support the team in preparing for audits by carrying out the following tasks:

• Supports actively in ensuring ISO 14001 recertification with a specific focus on waste management
• Updates environmental documentation (e.g. environmental impact and aspects, interested parties)
• Creates and maintains waste flow diagram and regular updates of the reporting tool and KPI overview board
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of waste management processes and related reporting
• Verifies Swiss legal requirements and internal company standards
• Develops an action plan based on gap analyses and audits
• Supports in ISO 50001 certification process, including energy monitoring, documentation updates (e.g. Sankey diagram), and continuous improvement activities

Profile

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have:

• Successfully completed apprenticeship in a MINT field (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural sciences, or Technology)
• Further education such as HF, FH, or recognized national certifications
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience and 1-2 years of specific experience with ISO 14001, ideally in a consulting or operational role
• Business fluency in German and English
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, waste management, PDCA, and environmental reporting
• Experience in continuous improvement activities in the context of environmental management
• Structured, detail-oriented working style with a proactive and independent mindset
