Development Engineer - Sensor Protection

YOUR CHALLENGES:

  • Leading the development of protection coatings and technologies for advanced sensors
  • Investigation and analysis of various materials, coatings, and process methods
  • Evaluation and application of accelerated testing procedures and setups to achieve project goals
  • Development and characterization of scalable material concepts for new generation, industrial sensor assemblies
  • Involvement in high purity and cleanliness of products in semiconductor process environment
  • Technical project management from the concept phase until productization including timeline and budget planning
  • Collaboration with industrial and academic partners
  • Willingness to travel among R&D hubs (Haag, Zurich), plus some work-related travel is required (max. 20%)

YOUR COMPETENCES:

  • MSc or PhD degree in material science, chemistry or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience on material-related topics
  • Work experience in vacuum technology and process technology
  • Experience with data analysis in Python or Matlab is a plus
  • Negotiating skills in English and German (fluent in spoken and writing)
  • In-depth understanding of semiconductor vacuum processes is beneficial
