FONDATION SUISSE DE DEMINAGE (FSD)

FSD (Fondation suisse de déminage) is a humanitarian non-governmental organisation which works to protect civilians from landmines and explosive remnants of war. Our teams locate and destroy explosive ordnance, raise awareness about the dangers of mines and unexploded ammunition, and provide support to victims of accidental explosions. Founded in 1997, FSD is based in Geneva (Switzerland) and currently employs close to 1000 staff on four continents. To date, FSD’s deminers have destroyed more than 1.4 million items of explosive ordnance, not only preventing deadly accidents but also allowing reconstruction, the return of displaced persons and the resumption of agriculture.
