Dear applicant, as an employer we understand your great disappointment. We take this opportunity to apologize for your inconvenience. As you know, the situation is due to the initial lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the uncertainty for the future at that time, the focus was on the well-being of our existing team in conjunction with a temporary hiring freeze. You were promptly provided with a re-dated, only 6 months postponed and new employment contract prior to starting the position. Unfortunately, you did not accept the offer, which was the same in terms of content, but with a later start date, and thus took the risk of becoming unemployed for a long period of time instead of just a few months to bridge the gap. It is a pity that it did not come to a cooperation at that time, we would have been very happy about your new addition.
