We are an open and lively parish with around 2,300 members. We offer a wide range of activities for children, young people, families, adults and senior citizens, and we have a dedicated team and a warm community. Our mission statement: The Evangelical Reformed Church of Sumiswald is open to people of all ages and walks of life. Our church is a place where people are touched and guided, led and accompanied by God's spirit. All people should feel God's love. We invite people to believe in Jesus Christ and encourage them to put their faith into practice in their everyday lives. We support one another and offer help to people in difficult life situations. We are guided by the Bible and proclaim the gospel in a way that is relevant to today's world. We maintain good relations with authorities, institutions and neighbouring communities. We treat other denominations and religious communities with respect and seek common ground for cooperation. We use our financial resources responsibly. We work together in teams in a goal-oriented manner. Open communication is important to us. We seek and maintain friendly relationships. We express joy and gratitude in our celebrations together.
