The housing cooperative mehr als wohnen sees itself as an innovation and learning platform for non-profit housing development. Its first flagship project, embodying a holistic approach to sustainability, was realized with the Hunziker Areal, a visionary urban neighborhood. In Zurich-North, this innovative living and residential space was created for 1,300 people in around 400 apartments, along with 6,000 m² of commercial space providing 150 jobs and a wide range of services, including a guesthouse and shared spaces. The second development project, Hobelwerk, is located in Oberwinterthur and offers 150 apartments, providing housing for approximately 440 people.
