Depending on the selected candidate's performance and motivation, there is a possibility of an extension or take-over.

Description

The Material Planner will collaborate with local procurement, manufacturing teams, and value stream work groups to ensure material orders align with the site budget and production plan.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Improve onsite material management processes.
  • Place purchase orders to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Align material planning with safety, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Ensure campaign spending aligns with the budget and proper cost allocation.
  • Resolve invoice and payment issues to adhere to payment terms.
  • Maintain supply chain records for direct materials.
  • Keep material forecasting updated in the ERP system.
  • Communicate the material ordering plan with the manufacturing team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for material and supplier selection.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure value delivery.
  • Work with ERP process stewards to enhance capability.
  • Utilize the ERP system to support the site's digital vision.
  • Network with ERP experts to develop expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with value stream customers during schedule execution.

Profile

In order to be considered for the role, the ideal candidate must have:

  • Preferably Bachelor's degree on a related field (Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management).
  • Experience in direct material planning.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in SAP or relevant ERP System.
  • MS Office experience (proficient Excel user).
  • Strong project management skills to support schedule delivery.
  • Good stakeholder management skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders that support the site.
  • Good influencing / collaboration skills and teamwork mindset.
