The multi-year ROC programme is designed to create a harmonised global target operating model (TOM) that addresses scalability and efficiency on a journey to 2030 while reducing unnecessary complexities.

ROC encompasses a transformation of the Bank’s technological backbone across Banking Operations, Markets, and Finance.

Within this programme test management is set-up as cross delivery project unit responsible for the harmonized test approach and co-ordination of test activities and its management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

As Head ROC Test Management, you report to the Programme Manager. Your responsibilities include the following for the entire programme:

  • Test Strategy and Planning
    • Develop, maintain, and implement the ROC test strategy and test governance for the program based on the banks test strategy
    • Define ROC test processes, methods, and standards
    • Select and implement appropriate ROC test tools and technologies based on banks given standards
    • Train and support ROC test team and project staff regarding test processes and standards

  • Test Design and Execution on Program Level
    • Define Test Scenarios, Test Data and Test Cases for business process end-to-end tests across all delivery units covering functional and non-function requirements
    • Strive for efficiency, synergies with focus on test case re-use and test automation
    • Create and maintain test plans in coordination with the business responsible and the delivery units
    • Orchestrate end-to-end test execution
    • Run the Defect Management Governance for the Program and provide a risk assessment based on the test results
    • Provide consolidated reporting of test progress

  • Program Level Coordination and Management
    • Communicate test requirements and results to stakeholders
    • Coordinate end-to-end tests across all sub-projects
    • Ensure the availability and consistency of test data for end-to-end testing
    • Plan and manage test environments to align and synchronize between the delivery units in respect to deployments and test data and test execution
    • Work closely with delivery units to align test activities
    • Monitor and report on test progress and results across all delivery projects

  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of test processes and methods
    • Monitor the usage and effectiveness of deployed test tools
    • Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices
    • Identify and manage risks associated with test activities

YOUR PROFILE

  • Technical Skills
    • Strong knowledge of test methods, techniques, and processes
    • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, X-RAY)
    • Understanding of test automation and related tools (e.g., Selenium, Pactflow)

  • Analytical Skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
    • Ability to understand and structure complex technical and procedural relationships

  • Business acumen
    • Good basic understanding of banking business, products and key processes

  • Management and Leadership Skills
    • Several years of experience in managing test teams and projects
    • Experience in coordinating multi-project programs
    • Strong project management and resource planning skills
    • Familiar with project delivery methodologies including waterfall and agile methods

  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders at different levels
    • Experience in preparing and presenting reports and analyses

  • Soft Skills
    • Solution oriented and pragmatic striving for tangible results
    • High level of initiative and self-organization
    • Team player with the ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities

  • Expected Qualifications
    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
    • Certifications in software testing and project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are advantageous
    • At least 7 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a minimum of 3 years in a multi-project / complex program leadership role
    • Working knowledge in English is crucial, German is a plus
