What you'll do
We are searching for communicative candidates who are proactive and passionate about company products and the clients they serve. Account managers will act as a point of contact for their clients. They will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their contacts, always striving to find the products which best fit the individual needs of the client. They also aid internal departments by collecting information, such as sales leads or testimonials, assisting in the processing and analysis of client data and complaints, and identifying industry trends.
You will mix a number of proactive "hunting" activities along with "farming" activities across your allocated accounts. Prior relationships will be taken into account when assigning accounts.
The day-to-day
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
- Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
- Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment including building and delivering proposals.
- Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about consumer behavior in particular how and why they buy what they buy.
- Keeping accurate records of sales engagement within salesforce.com by account and opportunity.
- Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.
- Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by being proactive with clients challenges if possible.
- Identifying and communicating industry trends.
- Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience.
- delivering on key objectives provided for account penetration and revenue growth.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with large B2B enterprise accounts is a must, ideally in the energy sector.
- Preferred experience in the telecom industry.
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
- Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collect, track, and analyze customer feedback
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent active listening skills.
What will help you on the job
- This role will report to the VP of Sales, Europe/Africa who will provide strategic guidance on activities and sales targets.
- Benefit from access to a Sales Engineering group to assist in building technical solutions for customers and proposals.
- Mentorship will be provided as needed form peer Account Managers and VP of Sales.
