The Position

Group Communications (GC) is responsible for creating a lasting positive image of Roche and are representing the company's voice on a Group level: We communicate Roche’s strategy and how we deliver on our purpose of “Doing now what patients need next” to Roche colleagues and external audiences. We drive integrated and global campaigns and provide platforms for communications business partners as well as our affiliates to engage with audiences. We contribute to building trust of key stakeholders, to managing Roche’s brand and reputation and to building a favorable environment for our business. The Role:

As the (Senior) Communications Manager - Executive Events Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in strategically shaping our executive events while engaging with key stakeholders and the most senior leaders of Roche. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication plans to maximize impact of our internal executive events by ensuring alignment with our company's long term ambitions and strategic objectives.

The Opportunity:

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans to engage our senior leaders in our multiple targeted executive events (online or in person).

  • Craft compelling stories, messaging and content tailored to our diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of communication and event strategies in alignment with overall event objectives.

  • Monitor and analyze communication and engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of our strategies and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event communication to continuously enhance and evolve our approach.

Who you are:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience 6-8 years in communications roles with a focus on leadership and employee engagement, preferably in a corporate or agency setting; high-end events management experience is a plus

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and channels.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to deal with complexity, prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as social media, email marketing, and content management systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • English native or proficiency; additional language skills are a plus

Location:

Primary location is Basel. Additional locations can be considered at hiring manager's discretion.
