International Tax Analyst

Euler Hermes Reinsurance AG is the Allianz Trade Reinsurance company providing reinsurance solutions and capacity to all Allianz Trade companies. Also, it covers the related non-consolidated companies in Austria, Israel and Solunion (Spain and Latin America).

The Euler Hermes Reinsurance team is the center of excellence in terms of AZ Trade by centralizing the reinsurance needs of the AZ Trade companies and retroceding partially the risks on the worldwide reinsurance market. This combination of specialist skills, international experience and capacity is at the core of our mission of understanding risk and protecting Allianz Trade value.

What you do

Tax and Transfer Pricing specialist reporting to the CFAO of Euler Hermes Reinsurance AG, based in Wallisellen (Allianz HQ), Switzerland

Main tasks include:

• Focus on representing and defending Allianz Trade in front of Swiss and foreign Tax Authorities in respect of reinsurance transfer pricing, through in depth analysis of the reinsurance economic and capital benefits:
• Assist the group head of tax, EH Re teams, and insurance entities CFAOs in the documentation of reinsurance transfer pricing policies, with the support of external advisors where needed
• Collect, analyse and review financial, business, and economic information received from financial controllers globally.
• Analyse, together with the tax, accounting and controlling teams, existing processes, formulate recommendations and implement improvements to increase data quality and documentation;
• Prepare and follow-up on TP audits with tax authorities;
• Liaise with Allianz Suisse Tax experts in respect of local taxes, and questions from Swiss tax authorities including direct, employment taxes, tax planning and support to the tax compliance and reporting teams;
• Keep up with the new tax developments and proceed to impact assessments. Drive and implement changes required as a result of the changes to the legislation;
• Support key business initiatives, including modelling for the financial impact of taxes;
• Contribute to tax awareness and appreciation within EHRe and the Allianz Trade finance teams;
• Work hand in hand with the CFAO of Euler Hermes Reinsurance AG representing the global reinsurance function. Matrix reporting line to Allianz Trade Group Head of Tax
• Develop close relationship with Regional and Local CFOs, and the Allianz Group and Allianz Reinsurance Tax functions.

What you bring

• A degree in accounting in a finance or Transfer Pricing role
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a Big 4 tax accounting / tax audit division, or in the tax department of a large multinational;
• A strong background in tax including an expertise in transfer pricing topics and working cross-functionally to resolve issues;
• A track record of successfully operating in dynamic environments;
• Be flexible, adaptable to adjusting priorities and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve a variety of tax and finance issues;
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability, combined with a willingness to get extract data from Business Warehouse, and produce the analysis.
• Perfect command of English, and knowledge of French or German
