The team Connectivity & Execution is part of Banque Lombard Odier’s IT Development for Global Market Service (GMS) and develops solutions in securities trading, covering equities, bonds, derivatives and securities lending activities.

We look for a Product Owner to develop a product vision and roadmap for the Connectivity & Execution team. The product owner is responsible to manage change or project demands by prioritizing the backlog. The Product Owner acts as the primary point of contact, ensuring effective communication between the IT development team and Lombard Odier’s trading organization as well as other business and IT stakeholders.

Additionally, the product owner sets work priorities, contributes to projects governance and assists during production issues resolution. Overall, the role is focused on maximizing ROI of product features, fostering a positive product team environment, and ensuring end users satisfaction through continuous improvement.

He / She will also contribute to a strategic project that aims at transforming our Execution and Order Management System (OEMS). In this project, the product owner will lead an analysis to document existing systems functionalities used by traders and order flows and the gaps in the platform to implement Lombard Odier’s trading business goals and strategy. The product owner will also contribute to the analysis of vendor’s platforms other than the ones currently used at Lombard Odier to implement the business strategy.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop a product vision and roadmap along with business stakeholders, based on the organization's strategic direction and benchmark market analysis

  • Manage changes and project demands by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog while including product maintenance to guarantee stability and sustainability over the long term

  • Contribute to project governance bodies by documenting deliverables and participating to the corresponding forums

  • Establish effective communication between clients and the product team by acting as the primary point of contact to ensure a clear understanding and address emerging needs and issues

  • Ensure that any third-party product integrate properly in the product vision and roadmap

  • Ensure high product quality is met by applying defined standards, overseeing test strategy definition, test automation and execution

  • Support incident management by providing expertise and by ensuring adequate resources are mobilized

  • Tracks product analytics to measure product adoption and performance and define development priorities

  • Foster a positive team environment by providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring product team members

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in business, finance or engineering (specialization in market finance would be a plus)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in building and integrating capital markets solution, in particular Execution and Order Management Systems for equities, bonds and derivatives trading

  • Very good knowledge of the market landscape of trading platform offerings from vendors and in FIX protocol for connectivity. Knowledge of Swift protocol would be also a plus.

  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead product vision

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with business and technology stakeholders, including C-levels, experts and external third parties

  • Experience in IT strategy, project management and business analysis

  • Strong analytical skills and synthesis

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
