Manager, Participant Recruitment

The Manager, Participant Recruitment is responsible for devising innovative strategies to increase study participant population.  Oversee all pre-study participant screening and selection to ensure on-time sequencing of events in recruiting, admissions, physicals, outreach, and medical records.  Additionally, they oversee study participant retention.

Essential Functions
  • Manage staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Develop strategic plans for increasing study participant population, implementing new and creative techniques to identify new participant populations to meet client/operational demands while enhancing our ability to respond to client needs.
  • Oversee operational procedures for recruiting, admissions, medical records, retention, and physical screenings.
  • Gain thorough understanding of inclusion/exclusion requirements each study to ensure successful recruitment, screening and admission.
  • Meet or exceed ECR recruitment goals.
  • Manage budgeting and cost control for participant recruitment.  
  • Serve as a client-facing role to provide operational recruitment updates and support recruitment feasibility/process conversations.  
  • Ensure retention of study participants through the review of participant surveys and feedback.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to develop recruitment plans and advertisements.
  • Conduct other reasonable duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 2 years of experience in clinical research is preferred
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible schedule for varying work hours
