Junior Product Developer (Timberland Global Apparel)

Timberland is looking for an exceptional Junior Product Developer to join our Global Apparel Product Development team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

You as Junior Product Developer will support the Product Development team in all phases of our critical path to ensure all calendar milestones are met.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

  • Day-to-day communication with Regional Offices
  • Working crossfunctionally with key stakeholders, Designers, Merchandising, Materials, Sourcing etc
  • Responsible for a range of products from varying sub categories
  • Support senior members of staff
  • Maintain and update product tech packs and Bill of Materials on our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
  • Carry out seasonal predictive costings and FOB negotiations to support in achieving the season margin targets
  • Attend cross-functional meetings and fit sessions
  • Measure and review prototype samples before fitting to ensure they conform to size and n construction specifications.
  • Create measurement specifications charts
  • If needed, travel to suppliers, trade shows and events as required. 
  • Ensure that Timberland quality and performance standards are met through the sampling process

Skills for Success:

  • Approximately 1/2 years’ industry experience 
  • Ability to adopt and embrace changes with a growth mindset.
  • Excellent time management, communication & organizational skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • Possesses a can-do approach
  • Be able to work to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction suitability, manufacturing sewing operations and costing consequences with a solutions-based mind-set.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with overseas suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
