Role

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and developing management tools in support of a global manufacturing and supply chain operation while working closely with the factories, production, procurement, sales/service and logistics colleagues.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing global inventories and forecasting production levels based on the commercial forecast from sales in order to plan the material needed. Duties also include capacity planning for production on high level.

Additional duties include developing, publishing and monitoring production plans and analyzing finished goods levels at various production sites.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production planning for all DIH products globally in line with financial and sales forecasts.
• Responsible for incorporating resource requirements for research products into planning to enable full picture decisions in the interest of DIH.
• Analyze material availability, inventory levels and turnover rates of items to improve and adjust master data to meet KPI targets.
• Establish and develop tools/reports to achieve transparency for a continuously improving supply chain.
• Conduct material availability risk assessments and initiate actions with local procurement teams to enable smooth production.
• Global responsibility for spare parts replenishment planning for all regions and service partners
• Ensuring a balanced stock level for production parts and spare/wear parts within financial constraints
• Coordination with the local production sites in the event of technical product changes
• Take responsibility as Key User ORACLE: Create and maintain an optimal set-up of the planning process and related attributes in Oracle for standardized products.

 Requirements

• Technical bachelor’s degree followed by a technical apprenticeship.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in global planning environment for manufacturing
• Solid work experience on either customer field service or manufacturing or procurement
• Very good understanding of how planning for manufacturing and for spare parts is interlinked with finance, sales, inventory, procurement, development, and customer expectation. Has capability to manage these diverging interests within planning.
• Strong skills in analyzing data for supply chain performance optimization.
• Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture.
• Optimistic view and strong process orientation, enjoys working with different cultures.
• Personality traits include flexibility, self-motivation, honesty and reliability, optimism.
• Good communication skills, fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.) and experience with CRM and ERP systems
• Willingness and ability to travel (up to 10%)
