In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software. In a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, you will contribute to the maintenance of hardware components and software development of tools, including CI/CD pipelines. The developed tools are in use worldwide to support the entire lifecycle of all Sonova hearing instruments and products.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Design and develop software tools, platforms, services and applications for Sonova Group
  • Ensure that the various teams in Sonova R&D can use hardware for effective firmware testing
  • Coordinate the distribution of new hardware to various R&D teams globally 
  • Support firmware developers in debugging problems with hardware and tools
  • Develop tools and testing environment related to hardware

 

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical discipline 
  • 3 + year of professional work experience in the context of embedded software development
  • Experience with hardware and measurement equipment
  • Experience with communication protocols and trace analysis 
  • Understanding of best practices and state-of-the-art in software development processes
  • Knowledge of PCB schematic design, Python, Groovy, Java or C# for tests and test environment
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
