Job Description and Responsibilities

• Conducting risk assessments and identifying security vulnerabilities.
• Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Configuring and monitoring security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Investigating security incidents and coordinating incident response efforts.
• Providing guidance and training to staff on security best practices.
• Keeping abreast of emerging threats and security technologies.
• Participating in security audits and compliance assessments.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPN).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Knowledge of cloud security principles.
• Scripting or programming skills.
