As we continue to expand our influence within the digital finance realm, we invite a capable and motivated Financial Controller/in to join our team in Zug.

The Role
As the Financial Controller/in, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the expansion of the 5-y old solid crypto asset manager and issuer of crypto structured products. In the context of a startup, broad based finance, banking and or other regulated financial services and solid crypto interest and experience would be helpful. A hands-on attitude is absolutely required in a small but well routine team as is strong teamwork. Your responsibilities include:

• Guide the company's financial strategy and growth, leveraging expertise in finance and banking within the crypto asset management sector. Leading financial analysis and forecasting, providing insights that support business decisions.
• Ensures optimum capital, liquidity, and funding; manage investments and fundraising initiatives to support the company's growth.
• Oversee day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Fostering strong relationships with investors, external auditors, providers of outsourced services, banks, and financial institutions.
• Collaborating closely with other executive team members to drive company-wide strategies.
• Advising on financial implications of business activities and strategic initiatives.
• Supervising and ensuring adherence to regulations and standards set by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
• Provide ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly financial and management reports & analysis, via Board’s committees.
  
  

Reporting Line

• Direct reporting line to CEO and supervisory line to Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board.
  
  

Who You Are
An ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a Financial or senior financial leadership role, preferably within the alternative investment, fintech, or digital finance sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in finance, banking, or regulated financial services, ideally with exposure to the crypto asset management sector.
• Deep understanding of financial strategy, risk control, and compliance, with a knack for navigating the complexities of the crypto finance landscape.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial forecasting and reporting.
• A hands-on working attitude, as required in a small team / company. Ability to work independently.
• Commercially minded; customer focused.
• Ability to highlight problems but more importantly offer creative solutions, and drive through their execution in a collective environment.
• Solid controls background (internal & external audit experience is ideal).
• Strong communication skills.
• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.
• Fluency in German and English.

Compensation

• Competitive start up oriented compensation structure with opportunity build equity in a ground floor growth opportunity. Base salary plus milestone and performance-based bonus and equity participation plan.
