Join our team as Production Controller.

You will operate as a Business Partner for the company-s management and heads of controlling departments within the factory (Local Product Group), while closely monitoring key financial indicators, market trends and customer activities. Drawing on your finely honed analytical abilities using SAP S4 HANA, you will work meticulously with various stakeholders to ensure effective decision-making for the success of our factory. 

Tasks

  • Responsibility for the monthly closing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting in line with Hitachi Energy reporting guidelines; monitoring of variances between budget and actual results to aid management actions
  • Supporting the business planning definition, implementing, and following up according to business unit strategies
  • Creating deep dive analysis of gross profit (e.g.: revenue recognition, COGS, product mix, production overhead, Capex, absorption) in SAP HANA
  • Maintaining the full cost model and reviewing pricing as well as capacity for production
  • Supporting Project Management during project execution and sales managers during the tender phase; identifying and communicating financial risks and opportunities during tenders as well as participating in risk reviews
  • Monitoring of production KPIs, monthly SG&A cost analysis, cash flow, overdue and following up on OBL

Requirements

  • Master-s or bachelor-s degree in business administration / finance / economics or similar
  • Many years of experience and a successful track record in a matching role within an international environment
  • Excellent practical knowledge in SAP S/4 HANA
  • Know-how in factory controlling and product business
  • Confident, self-driven and practical approach, keeping a cool head in demanding situations and taking charge of duties
  • Business improvement capabilities and project management knowledge
  • Great understanding of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow
  • Strong financial manager skills with deep knowledge of finance, control processes and tools (MS Office, SAP, Power BI, and ABACUS Analyzer) as well as familiarity with IRS and J-SOX
  • Fluent in English – German would be preferable
