As the 'Credit, Surety and Credit Lifestyle Protection (CLP)' division, we offer our customers comprehensive services and insurance solutions. We insure debtors worldwide (Credit), underwrite sureties and guarantees (Surety), and insure regular obligations against biometric risks (CLP). As the AXA Group"s Centre of Excellence for Surety, we are also responsible for the development of the Surety business. As an 'Expert Surety International' you will have the exciting and challenging opportunity to drive the development of the Surety business within the strategic business plans. You will support specific local AXA entities in building and enhancing their technical excellence and business development. As part of the Centre of Excellence, you will shape the future of the Surety business by identifying new target markets and products as well as providing risk capacity.

Your contribution

• You ensure a harmonised underwriting policy by helping to shape and develop the Group Underwriting Guidelines and ensuring exposure monitoring
• You work closely with the Group Underwriting Office, especially on issues relating to the assigned local AXA entities
• You provide support with complex underwriting issues and ensure coordination between the various governance bodies where necessary
• You shape and develop the Surety community by offering training and further education and by organising the annual Surety seminar
• You ensure the exchange with the assigned local AXA entities and analyse their needs for further business development
• You identify and analyse the development of new target markets (products, countries, etc.)
• You analyse and organise - where appropriate - internal reinsurance capacities for individual large transactions on a facultative basis (joint underwriting incl. processing) or for portfolios/business units on a treaty basis
• You ensure close cooperation with AXA Group Ceded Re for Surety topics (especially in the renewal phase)

Your capabilities and talents

• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in Surety on the primary or reinsurance side
• Experience in an international company working across countries
• Reinsurance experience is an advantage
• Analytical skills, quick comprehension, self-organisation
• Assertiveness and negotiation skills as well as a high level of customer orientation
• Completed university degree (Master's) in economics, business information technology, law or similar or commercial apprenticeship with comparable further training
• Fluent written and spoken German, very good knowledge of English, other language skills an advantage (especially French and Spanish)
