In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.

Our hardware team in R&D is responsible for the design, development, and verification of chargers for our hearing solutions. In your role as Hardware Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, development, initiation, and creation of verification (test cases) and generating documentation to confirm functionality of Sonova hardware solutions.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Create, execute, and deliver product test documentation (verification plan, verification report)
  • Review product specifications for testability
  • Develop new test cases (manual, exploratory), improve & scale existing test cases according to specifications
  • Ensure testing practices are compliant with best practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and defines test cases for risk-based testing and risk mitigation
  • Execute hardware verification tests on device hardware according to test instructions

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree or similar education in the area of electrical engineering 
  • 3+ years' work experience in verifying and testing electronic hardware
  • Practical knowledge such as soldering, gluing, drilling of micro electromechanical devices and troubleshooting 
  • Able to work independently with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) and good command in German
