As a Thermoacoustics Specialist within the Combustor Testing & Tuning team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and validation of numerical, analytical and experimental methods for combustion dynamics characterization and mitigation.

Your tasks

Develop state of the art thermoacoustics and signal processing tools for optimization and innovation of our combustion systems. • Support combustion system validation from rig up to engine level. • Develop cutting-edge pulsation prediction models and methods to support engine upgrade development programs. • Provide thermoacoustics expertise and support for engine commissioning and operation.

Your profile

You hold a PhD qualification in an area related to fluid dynamics, applied mathematics, acoustics or combustion. Preferably, you have a solid background in low-order network models, stochastic models and reheat flame dynamics modelling. Strong programming skills are required (Python, Matlab, Simulink). Hands-on experience of machine learning and data assimilation techniques is highly beneficial. Taking on responsibility while working independently and systematically is essential for your success. You are available to go on business trips (within Europe) approximately once every quarter. A reliable, open-minded and solution-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a positive attitude to teamwork completes your personal profile.
