Senior Visual Merchandising Creative Designer (9-month fixed-term contract)

MISSION & CONTEXT:

We are looking for a Senior Visual Merchandising Creative Designer to join our International Visual Merchandising Team (Animations & Events / Permanent experience & navigation in-store) for L'Occitane-en-Provence. You will be based in our Headquarters (Geneva) and report directly to the Art Director.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1)Team leader :

  • With your experience and 360° vision of the brand, you animate a team of 3 VM creative designers on both scopes : animations & events / permanent experience & navigation in-store

  • You guide the team to complete their missions successfully by helping and accompanying them in their development

  • You are in charge of the projects' coordination to ensure a good and agile team organization

  • You are the main contact for worldwide VM community and you drive collaboration within teams, co-creation sessions and successful implementations (Campaigns activations & VM experience In-Store) in key regions

2)Campaign Animations & Events :

  • You lead the creative direction for brand campaigns and product launches following the marketing calendar, in line with the brand strategy and the budget (from brand activations ; pop-up stores, wholesale corners & specific events, to store animations ; window, merchandising table, permanent kit, backwalls and specific touch points or supports)

  • You support our VM animation experts on each step from briefs to deliveries : design intention and validation, 3D renders ressources, prototypes suppliers portfolio, co-creation with key markets, final consistency for creative and technical design packages sent to international markets and countries

  • You collaborate very closely with the international creative visual merchandising community (co-creation / reports / feedbacks / sharing sessions / travels etc.) and also with your main stakeholders based in Geneva (communication, marketing, store design, graphic, packaging, PR & CX teams)

3)Permanent experience & navigation in-store :

  • You are a key contributor in defining the content of our permanent Brand In-Store & Customer Experience Guidelines, shared with the international markets and countries

  • You support our VM experts in charge of the VM experience in-store and you support them on each step from briefs to deliveries : guidelines, product assortments & store planograms, store navigation, communication in store - POS & visuals, VM catalogues for markets orders, merchandising tools design development & guideline usages for the different store concepts of the brand

  • You collaborate very closely with the international creative VM community (Co-creation / reports / feedbacks / sharing sessions / travels -) and also with your main stakeholders based in Geneva (communication, marketing, store design, graphic, packaging, PR & CX teams)

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Graduated from a Visual Merchandising or Store Design school

  • At least 8 years of experience in VM Retail (including windows & brand activation)

  • A solid experience in team management with the ability to guide a team using agile methods

  • Fluent in English & conversational in French

  • Strong knowledge of 3D design (SketchUP), 3D rendering (Keyshot or V-ray), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator), combined with a perfect command of Powerpoint to bring your creative ideas to life and inspire the team

  • Ability to challenge the status quo, to drive the creativity and to encourage innovations (digital innovations, store experience, brand activations, testing experience, new trends, etc.)

  • Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders (creative & non-creative teams)

  • Ability to defend creative ideas and to convince with your 360° approach of the brand

  • Excellent organizational skills & ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Thanks to your aesthetic vision and experience, you are able to influence and inspire the creative team
