Job profile:

Allianz Capital Partners (ACP) and Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) invest client monies in alternative investments across primary and secondary markets globally. Investment strategies cover a wide range and include infrastructure equity, renewables, infrastructure debt, private credit, trade finance, blended finance and impact investing.

All these private markets strategies of ACP and AllianzGI are supported by a highly specialised team within the legal department in which you will play a crucial role. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for managing our investment funds landscape and coordinating investment activities. You will work independently and alongside our investment teams in Munich, Luxembourg, London, New York and Singapore as well as with other relevant departments. Your daily activities will range from setting up third-party fund vehicles and segregated accounts to leading transactions where you will engage in legal negotiations with external counterparties. Throughout the lifecycle of our funds, you will serve as the internal contact for all legal matters and represent ACP and AllianzGI internally and externally. The position will be based in Munich or Frankfurt.

What you do:

Structuring and setting up investment funds in Luxembourg, Germany and other jurisdictions taking into account legal, tax and regulatory requirements of AllianzGI, ACP and their investors

Providing ongoing legal advice to investment funds managed by ACP or AllianzGI as AIFM

Supporting the structuring and execution of investments relating to our private debt strategies (both direct and target fund investments)

Supporting the Global Head of Private Markets Legal on overarching legal topics and projects regarding the AllianzGI/ACP private markets platform

What you bring:

Fully qualified lawyer with excellent exam results

A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the field of investment law

Business fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage

Possessing and demonstrating a high degree of individual responsibility, flexibility, a strong personality, and excellent teamwork skills

Willingness to learn about new areas of law that go beyond your core practice area
