Pictet Trading & Sales (PTS) provides direct access to global markets, offering bespoke trading solutions across a wide range of asset classes. Our sales traders, IT specialists, strategists and quant analysts are assisted by a full suite of risk and control functions as well as the latest technology.


 


PTS is looking to hire a Business Compliance Officer to strengthen its Compliance team. You will be mainly involved in trade surveillance and best execution activities and report to the Head of Business Compliance.


Your role



  • Participating actively in trade surveillance (market abuse) and best execution activities for all products traded at PTS and maintaining accurate and concise records of all investigations undertaken, including details on the rationale for any decisions made.

  • Identifying and investigating all alerts generated by the tools or brought to your attention by the traders. 

  • Reviewing periodically the configuration and associated parameters of tools to ensure that the controls and calibrations are still appropriate and efficient in the current market framework and aligned with PTS activities, and optimising the tools to enhance efficiency when necessary.

  • Ensuring that the trade surveillance (market abuse) and best execution activities are comprehensive, adequate and in compliance with regulatory requirements and expectations, and ensuring the regulatory watch.

  • Fostering a culture of compliance within the organisation by promoting awareness and understanding of PTS procedures.

  • Taking part in other projects and committees and acting as a back-up for the rest of the team.


Your profile



  • University degree or advanced banking education with broad knowledge and general experience of compliance topics (market integrity and investor protection). Strong understanding of international financial market regulations.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance.

  • Excellent knowledge of the financial, regulatory and banking environment.

  • Excellent command of computer tools and investigative mindset.

  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Fluent in French and English. German a plus.

  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
