The Institute for Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) was created to research eye diseases and develop new, effective therapies for eye diseases. Interdisciplinary teams of researchers and clinicians work hand in hand for this purpose.
Your Tasks
- Care, housing, and breeding of predominantly genetically modified mouse strains in IVC housing in compliance with legal regulations
- Electronic recording/management of experimental animals
- Carrying out cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization tasks
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as a laboratory animal caretaker (m/f/d) or equivalent qualification
- Expertise and professional experience in breeding and housing mice in IVC housing are an advantage
- Experience handling genetically modified mouse strains is an advantage
- IT skills and German/English language skills
- Organizational talent, absolute reliability, conscientious working style, ability to work in a team, high commitment, and flexibility
- Willingness to work regular weekend and holiday shifts
