Shiptec AG is looking for a responsible, reliable and independent individual as Head of Systems Department in Shipbuilding, 80-100%, permanent, to start by arrangement.

Are you passionate about technology, innovation and shipbuilding? In this key role, you will lead the Systems department and ensure that demanding technical solutions are reliably planned, coordinated and implemented.

Shiptec AG is a subsidiary of SGV Holding AG. It provides technical services with a shipyard and an engineering office in the areas of ship design and engineering, shipbuilding, ship revisions, conversions and ship maintenance in a national and international environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Leadership and further development of employees in the Systems department
• Coordination of the departments mechanics, electrical and pipe fitting
• Ensuring efficient work planning, task allocation and deadline monitoring within the department
• Primary contact person for cross-departmental technical and organisational issues
• Responsibility for implementing improvement measures and continuously optimising processes
• Leading projects, conversions, maintenance and production-related tasks in the Systems department
• Ensuring collaboration between departments and high quality in execution
• Ensuring smooth operations and timely service delivery in the Systems department
• Identifying customer needs and market potentials and deriving suitable offers
• Contributing to the development and taking responsibility for the implementation of the strategy in the Systems department
• Responsible for preparing and calculating quotations in cooperation with the relevant specialist departments
• Active participation in acquiring projects and contracts as well as further developing the customer and service portfolio

Requirements Profile

• Technical basic training in a craft or industrial profession, for example as an electrician, mechanic, or sanitary installer, supplemented by further training as a certified technician HF, a university of applied sciences degree or a comparable qualification
• Strong business and entrepreneurial understanding
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a technical-craft or industrial production environment
• Experience in coordinating different specialist areas as well as in planning and controlling workflows
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills as well as a solution-oriented working style
• High quality, deadline and responsibility awareness and enjoyment of working with various professional groups
• Openness to change, improvement processes and new working methods
