The Population Services are the first point of contact at the city administration. They handle registration matters such as registrations, deregistrations, and changes of address as well as the residence regulation of Swiss citizens or foreign nationals. They issue official documents, certify signatures for initiatives/referendums, provide information within the framework of data protection regulations, and thus fulfill important tasks of official register management.
This position is for you if you
- have a commercial education, ideally in public administration.
- have professional experience from a municipal or city administration.
- want to complete a part-time education (e.g., the municipal vocational school/Public Management).
- find needs-based solutions for the residents of our city within the framework of the legal mandate.
- consider careful and precise work among your strengths.
- enjoy advising and communicating confidently in several languages.
- take pleasure in daily interaction with people in an intercultural context in a lively environment.

The Population Services are the business card and first point of contact for the residents of the city in the town hall. They provide various important services around registration and civil status matters, administer naturalizations and the conciliation office for rental/lease relationships, act as a control office for health insurance, and organize votes and elections.
