The apprentice mechanical practitioners manufacture individual parts as well as assemblies and systems made of metal based on technical

drawings.

Various products are manufactured for our customers: machine housings,

devices for climate, heating, and water systems, components and assemblies for

railway cars, vehicles, etc.

The most important working material for mechanical practitioners is metal. They learn

all separation, forming, and joining techniques. The apprentices work both

with hand tools and with computer-controlled machines, such as

laser machines.

• Basic upper secondary level
• 1 day/week at the vocational school Rorschach
