R&D Intern - Digital Inspection Processes & Analytics (80-100%) - 1528
Ensure electricity in Switzerland
In this versatile position, you support the further development of modern, data-driven inspection and analysis processes for our facilities. This includes all steps from data collection through automated processing to evaluation. You work in a team on conceptual tasks for new technical solutions, including autonomous systems such as drones, as well as on the validation of an AI-based computer vision model that assesses the condition of our assets. You also participate in the planning and support of proof of concepts and help evaluate their added value for existing processes. These include, among others:
- structured analysis and preparation of data
- co-development of test concepts and evaluation logics
- working with digital models and imaging data
- coordination and alignment with internal and external project partners
- monitoring, model testing and validation in collaboration with the project partner as well as assessment of the model's applicability for the Swissgrid concept

For this position, we are looking for you as a team player with a reliable, structured, and quality-conscious way of working. Additionally, you bring the following:
- Completed bachelor's degree (or close to completion) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering studies, computer science, or a similar field
- Ideally, first experience in asset management for technical equipment in the electricity distribution network
- Familiarity with electrical energy systems
- Very good English skills; good German skills are an advantage
