Lawyer 80%The Governor's Office is a decentralized cantonal administrative unit serving as a supervisory and appellate authority. The Governor's Office is particularly responsible for overseeing the local police, the road system of the municipalities, the fire department, and the prosecution in the area of misdemeanor criminal law. In the areas of local police and fire services, the Governor's Office also acts as an appellate authority.
To complement our team, we are looking for a lawyer 80% immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Independent handling of appeal and supervisory procedures
- Independent case management and independent editing or drafting of orders in the field of administrative law
- Independent handling of procedures under the Weapons Act (seizure and definitive confiscation of weapons, issuing of weapon carrying permits)
- Handling of cases in the area of offenses under the Criminal Code as well as secondary criminal law (assessing criminal complaints, drafting criminal decisions, leading investigation procedures, etc.)
- Conducting appeal procedures
Your profile
- Completed law degree, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Several years of professional experience, at a court or in administration and at a prosecution authority in the canton of Zurich
- Independent, efficient, and precise way of working
- Fluency in oral and written expression
- Willingness and ability to engage and quickly familiarize yourself with new subject matter
- Friendly and confident demeanor as well as good manners
- Absolute discretion and reliability
