The Effingerhort above Holderbank AG is an institution of the Von Effinger Foundation for inpatient addiction therapy in the canton of Aargau. People with health, psychological, and social impairments with a long history of alcohol or drug use are professionally supported with a low-threshold concept. The people at Effingerhort work and live in protected structures to stabilise their life situation and gain new perspectives. In addition to the abstinence-oriented residential offers, we run a specialised nursing home with controlled alcohol distribution.

In this exciting position, you will be in direct contact with our residents and responsible for preparing the meals. In addition, we process our products from the nursery and agriculture into preserved delicacies. Besides working in the kitchen, do you enjoy working with people who need support? Then you meet an important requirement for this varied position.
The main tasks are:
- Responsibility for healthy and varied catering for residents, guests, and staff
- Active participation in the expansion and further development of our preserving kitchen
- Planning and execution of internal and external catering and receptions
- Accompanying and supervising staff at a protected workplace in the kitchen
- Ensuring compliance with quality and hygiene guidelines
The desired profile:
- Trained cook with several years of professional experience
- Training and experience as a diet cook
- Training in work pedagogy and experience in dealing with people requiring support
- Enjoyment in working with people and in designing and preparing creative and healthy menus as well as preserving products for sale
- Independent, responsible, and cooperative working style in a small team
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Willingness to work day, evening, and weekend shifts (6:00 am – 7:00 pm)
- Good IT user skills (Microsoft Office, easyDoc)
- Confident communication in German, both spoken and written
