two school social work specialists 70 - 90%The Kantonsschule Wiedikon is a high school with various gymnasial profiles as well as a specialized middle school. It is a larger school with around 1200 students and 200 teachers. For the 2024/25 school year, Kantonsschule Wiedikon has expanded its offerings to the Hohlstrasse location near Hardbrücke station.
Your tasks
- Prevention, early detection, and intervention in challenges faced by young people and the establishment of corresponding preventive and participatory structures. You do this together with our existing team of school counselor and school doctor as well as a second school social work specialist. Your tasks include in particular
- solution-oriented individual counseling of students as well as counseling of the school and family system,
- support for all involved in finding optimal solutions and triage to external counseling centers
- advising teachers on group dynamic interventions for prevention, support, and systemic interventions in crises and conflicts within the class community
- participation in the development of our school culture, where community and mutual support are important.
- coaching and support of students with compensatory measures within the framework of self-organization.
Your profile
- You are a committed personality with professional experience in school social work or counseling in the youth sector. With your solution-oriented systemic attitude, you mediate well between different concerns. You work independently, structured, and reflectively and look forward to shaping the new support offer at Kantonsschule Wiedikon together with the existing team. Knowledge in concept and project work is an advantage for this. Your communication skills, teamwork, and resilience are an advantage both in dealing with the various stakeholders and in coping with crises. A formal requirement is a bachelor's degree in social work, combined with further training in school social work (CAS) or a comparable field (CAS).
