Mother and Father Advisor (Temporary) – kjz Winterthur 10 - 20%The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. The kjz Winterthur (Child and Youth Welfare Center) is a polyvalent counseling center for families, parents, adolescents, children, and toddlers and operates based on the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich.
The Early Childhood Department of kjz Winterthur is looking for a Mother and Father Advisor (Temporary) for hourly assignments (approx. 200 hours per year) starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your task – Strengthening parents, promoting development
- Representing the mother and father advisors during vacation absences and other absences. This includes on-site counseling at kjz Winterthur, in the decentralized counseling centers of the residential communities, home visits, as well as leading group offerings
- Professional advice and information for parents on the care, nutrition, and development of infants and toddlers
- Raising parents' awareness of the physical, emotional, mental, and social needs of their child
- Discussing everyday educational and developmental questions and supporting parents in finding their role
- Careful administrative recording (e.g., record keeping)
Your profile – professionally experienced, personally approachable
- Completed training as a nursing specialist HF/FH with a focus on KJFF or as a midwife
- Several years of work experience in pediatric nursing
- High professional and social skills as well as independent and proactive working style
- Enjoyment in working with families and ability to work in a team
- Time flexibility, also for short-term assignments
- Driver's license B and the possibility to use your own vehicle
