The St. Gallen Cantonal Police ensures peace, security, and order in the canton of St. Gallen around the clock. It investigates crimes and monitors compliance with applicable laws. The main department of Technology & Logistics, with its Project Management & Engineering division, is primarily responsible for innovations in the police environment, the continuous development and modernization of work tools, and the optimization of processes.

Specialist in Corporate Development & Controlling (m/f/d)

Workload: 80-100%

Workplace: St. Gallen

What to expect

• Conducting cost-benefit analyses, profitability calculations, and building control cockpits
• Budget planning, monitoring, and financial controlling in close coordination with department heads
• Analysis of project budgets, identification of savings potentials, and preparation of financial reports
• Support for project managers as well as sparring partners for main department and department heads
• Identification of trends and risks as well as derivation of recommendations for action regarding financial development
• Analysis, further development, and implementation of business processes and service management tools
• Participation in strategic initiatives, including preparation and execution of workshops and presentations

What distinguishes you

• Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in corporate development, financial planning, or process optimization
• Strong analytical and interconnected thinking skills and the ability to present complex issues clearly
• Independent and development-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
