About the Position
As an automation technician at Hitachi Energy, you work in the field of testing and commissioning gas-insulated switchgear. You ensure that our systems function flawlessly according to technical specifications, test plans, and quality standards. In doing so, you combine electrical engineering expertise with analytical thinking, work closely with internal interfaces, and make an important contribution to product quality and process safety.
What You Can Achieve
Performing functional tests on gas-insulated switchgear according to the specified test plan
Conducting and accompanying customer acceptance tests in English
Reading and applying electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and parts lists
Identifying, analyzing, and correcting mechanical and electrical faults
Analyzing and correcting wiring and control errors in control cabinets
Independently wiring assemblies and switch systems according to work papers and specifications
Contributing to the optimization of measuring equipment as well as test and inspection processes
Willingness to work in a 2-shift operation
What You Bring
Completed basic electrical training (e.g., automation technician EFZ or equivalent)
Confident handling of electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and work instructions
Technical understanding and experience in testing electrical systems is an advantage
Structured, reliable, and focused working style, even under time pressure
Affinity for computers and software tools (measuring equipment, documentation, systems)
Fluent German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
