Wädenswil is an attractive city on the left shore of Lake Zurich with about 25,600 inhabitants. Around 350 employees work in the city administration, providing comprehensive services to the population daily.
The Social Affairs Department includes the Social Services office as well as the Social Insurance office . The main tasks of the Social Affairs Department include the provision of supplementary benefits, the provision of economic and personal assistance, the management of adult protection measures, asylum support, advance maintenance payments as well as daycare center permits and subsidies.
For the staff of the Social Affairs Department, we are looking for a clerk due to the promotion of the current position holder as of January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your areas of responsibility include
- professional, strategic and administrative support of the department management in all areas of responsibility
- Review of first-instance decisions on economic assistance
- Preparation of specialist information and decision-making bases
- Processing inquiries from the city and municipal council
- Controlling and plausibility checks of data
- Participation in budgeting
- Contributing to the creation of manuals and the reorganization of internal processes
- Participation in digitization processes
- Clarifications in the area of relative support
- Administrative processing and formal review of advance maintenance payments
What you bring
- commercial training, further education in the public sector and administrative experience are an advantage
- networked and service-oriented thinking, structured and efficient working method
- administrative skills, very good German language skills in spoken and written form
- positive attitude and interest in social assistance and social insurance law issues
