The Genetic Medicine Department of the Medical Department is looking for a chief resident for May 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The CHUV Genetic Medicine Department consists of a clinical unit and molecular and chromosomal diagnostic laboratories. The clinical unit includes 3 senior physicians, 3 chief residents, 3 assistants, 4 genetic counselors, and 1 psychologist. More than 5000 patients are seen in consultations annually (neurogenetics, oncogenetics, cardiogenetics, nephrogenetics, etc.).
Mission
- You ensure patient care for oncogenetics consultations
- You supervise and oversee assistant physicians and genetic counselors for oncogenetics and prenatal consultations
- You proactively organize their work as well as the daily operation of the unit.
Profile
- You hold an FMH specialist title in medical genetics or a title recognized by MEBEKO
- You master French (level C1 for non-French speakers, certificate required)
- You possess excellent interpersonal skills and appreciate working in a multidisciplinary team.
