In this role, you design architectures that are not only technologically viable but also make a clear contribution to the transformation of our clients. You move between enterprise architecture, solution design, and integration issues, bringing structure to complex projects along the industrial value chain.

• Development of strategic target images and architecture roadmaps along the entire manufacturing value chain

• Assessment of relevant technology trends such as Industry 4.0, Digital Twins, or modern platform approaches regarding their architectural relevance

• Design of end-to-end solution designs for central business solutions in areas such as CRM, ERP, PLM, or MES

• Translation of business requirements into robust and implementable technical solution approaches in close collaboration with business, IT, and management

• Development of modern integration architectures focusing on middleware, API management, event-driven architecture, shopfloor integration, and real-time data exchange

• Conducting architecture assessments and supporting make-or-buy decisions within selection and procurement processes

• Definition of architecture principles, standards, and governance guardrails as well as co-design of suitable operating models in the architecture context

This job is for you if

• you have several years of experience in IT consulting or architecture work within demanding industrial environments

• you can quickly grasp complex contexts, structure them, and translate them into clear architectural target images

• you have the ability to prepare technically demanding topics understandably and communicate them appropriately to different audiences at various levels

• you have a solid understanding of key processes in manufacturing – such as R&D, production, supply chain, as well as sales & service

• you bring in-depth architecture knowledge in established business systems such as ERP and CRM/CX solutions, for example SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce

• you have experience in building or integrating PLM, CAD, or MES solutions in a shopfloor-related environment

• you are proficient in modern integration concepts, API management, and software architectures such as microservices and cloud-native approaches

• you have knowledge of the cloud ecosystems of Azure or AWS as well as a good understanding of modern infrastructure concepts

• Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and notations like UML or ArchiMate are applied routinely by you

As the icing on the cake, you bring

• Certifications in architecture or cloud environments, for example TOGAF, CPSA/iSAQB, or Azure/AWS Architect

  Practical knowledge in Industry 4.0 concepts and relevant standards as well as their application in concrete transformation projects

  Experience in designing industrial data platforms or integrating AI use cases

  Know-how in security architecture, such as zero trust, identity management, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001

  Routine in agile working methods like Scrum or SAFe and the ability to effectively apply them in the customer environment
