Your tasks and perspectives
- Dealing with visual impairments such as strabismus, amblyopia, problems with the cooperation of both eyes or dysfunctions of the eye muscles
- Independent examination of the eyes on behalf of an ophthalmologist
- Contact with patients of all age groups as well as with their parents
- Explaining examination procedures, making diagnoses and initiating therapies
- Administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and preparing examinations

- 3-year basic training with a federal certificate of competence or specialized middle school diploma or high school diploma
