Your tasks and perspectives

Dealing with visual impairments such as strabismus, amblyopia, problems with the cooperation of both eyes or dysfunctions of the eye muscles
Independent examination of the eyes on behalf of an ophthalmologist
Contact with patients of all age groups as well as with their parents
Explaining examination procedures, making diagnoses and initiating therapies
Administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and preparing examinations

3-year basic training with a federal certificate of competence or specialized middle school diploma or high school diploma
Strong powers of observation
