Job description
Espace de vie SA is an institution that manages the medico-social establishments (EMS) of La Châtelaine in Vernier and Saint-Loup in Versoix. These respectively accommodate 91 and 84 residents. About 200 employees are engaged there in total.
We are looking for February 2026 a:
Housekeeper in the hotel sector (6-month fixed-term contract) – 80% over 5 days
Mission and responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Head of the hotel sector, your mission will be to ensure the management and supervision of the cleaning, laundry, and cafeteria teams at our two sites – through:
- Daily presence on site to organize tasks and coordinate actions with other sectors;
- Quality control of work and ensuring compliance with legal requirements regarding safety and hygiene.
Profile sought
Qualifications and skills:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a hotel management or equivalent training.
- 2-3 years of experience in a housekeeper or equivalent position, in the medico-social or hospital sector in Switzerland.
- French: very good oral and written skills.
- Good command of common IT tools and professional software.
- Autonomous, highly available and flexible, proactive and rigorous, with a sense of organization and responsibility especially when facing unforeseen events.
- Aptitude to communicate with diverse interlocutors in a multicultural context, developed service sense and good observation skills.
- Good sense of diplomacy and respect for confidentiality.
- Adherence to the institutional project and the institution's values, interest in the field of elderly care.
- Driver's license (and possession of a car)
